At a Lahore press conference, PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi declared, “We’ve sent the schedule for the matches in Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy.” “We had a great talk with the ICC security officers when they arrived. We’ll also provide them the details on the stadium renovations. They examined the arrangement here. We communicate with the ICC continuously. Our goal is to make sure a championship event is held in Pakistan.”

The primary concern is if India would consent to sending a team to the event in Pakistan. The year before, India had declined to send a team to Pakistan for the Asia Cup. Due to the Asian Cricket Council’s (ACC) decision to adopt a hybrid strategy for the competition, all of India’s matches as well as the great majority of disputed matches overall were subsequently held in Sri Lanka.

Former cricket players have called for India and Pakistan to play a Test series on neutral territory due to the two sides’ recent frequent encounters in multi-nation events. India captain Rohit Sharma says it is an ambition to play red ball cricket against Pakistan. “They have a strong squad, an excellent bowling lineup, and a competitive game.” The 36-year-old remarked, “That will be incredible, especially if you play in conditions overseas.”To be honest, I really want to do it. Why don’t two teams play each other? That would be incredible. Rohit said something in a podcast on YouTube.
